Achja, die Beitragsfolge ist etwas langsamer gerade weil wir viel am Trecker machen und nicht weil nichts passiert…Daher heute ein wenig umfangreicher….

…verschweißen. Techtip: es können auch andere Sachen als Bohrer zum Ausrichten verwendet werden 😉

Sieht doch ganz cool aus! Die Idee dahinter ist einfach den Sprit für die Ventile aus einer fließenden Flüssigkeitssäule zu entnehmen. So kommt der Sprit von vorne, geht an den Ventilen vorbei (oder auch in sie rein 😉 ), dreht die Spritkurve bevor er vorne in den Druckregler geleitet wird.
It looks really cool! The idea behind this is simply to take the fuel for the valves from a flowing liquid column. So the fuel comes from the front, goes past the valves (or into them 😉 ), turns the fuel curve before it is fed into the pressure regulator at the front.

Wo wir gerade beim Thema Sprit sind…… Wer Sprit sagt muss auch Spritfilter sagen. Da geht mir direkt schon wieder die Hutschnur hoch. Alles was es in Europa so von der Stange gibt ist für die fette Hilbornpumpe viel zu klein. Ok, schauen wir über den großen Teich. Da gibt es passendes Zeug, kostet dann aber auch schlappe 400 Euro bis es hier ist (Versand, Zoll, Steuer…der übliche Wahnsinn halt)

Da gibt es billig. Aber nur in 100µm. Außerdem hat man dann direkt ein Problem wenn man mal was nachkaufen möchte. Da hat die kleine Klitsche Shengfengdongdingsbums wieder zu.

Speaking of fuel … … Whoever says fuel also has to say fuel filter. That topic annoys me tremendously. Everything off the shelf in Europe is much too small for the fat Hilborn pump. Ok, let’s look across the pond. There is suitable stuff, but then it costs a mere 400 euros until it’s here (shipping, customs, tax … the usual madness)

Soooo…. ein handelsübliches, genormtes Hydraulikfilterelement mit 25µm Feinheit und Edelstahlgewebe als Filtermaterial. Sieht klein aus???
Da wird normalerweise 50 Liter/Minute Hydrauliköl mit mehr als 30mm²/s Viskosität mit sehr geringen Druckverlusten durchgepresst. Dann sollten 100 Liter/Minute Methanol mit 0,9mm²/s überhaupt kein Problem sein. Sollte sich der Druckverlust als zu groß erweisen gibt es dieses Element auch in deutlich länger.
Soooo…. a commercially available, standardized hydraulic filter element with 25 µm fineness and stainless steel mesh as filter material. Looks small ???
Normally, 50 liters / minute of hydraulic oil with a viscosity of more than 30mm² / s is pressed through with very little pressure loss. Then 100 liters / minute of methanol with 0.9mm² / s should not be a problem at all. If the pressure loss turns out to be too great, this element is also available in significantly longer.
Es gibt nur einen Weg herauszufinden ob das Teil auch Methanolfest ist 😉

Passt ganz gut der Trümmer! Allerdings zieht ein Problem herauf….. Die Anschlüsse kollidieren mit dem Wastegate….. Eine Lösung ist im Kopfe schon erarbeitet. Dazu in späteren Beiträgen mehr.
The rubble fits quite well! However, a problem arises ….. The connections collide with the wastegate ….. A solution has already been worked out in the head. More on that in later posts.

Nach einigen sinnreichen Bearbeitungsschritten wird da ein schickes Elektronikgehäuse draus. Ich gib es ja zu…manchmal ist Billet doch ganz geil 😉

Natürlich wird auch der große Schluckspecht ein Datenmonster. Um zu verstehen was im Zylinder los ist, ist die Abgastemperatur zumindest ein Indiz. Also bekommt jeder Zylinder einen entsprechenden Fühler.
Of course, the big Schluckspecht becomes a data monster. To understand what’s going on in the cylinder, the exhaust gas temperature is at least an indication. So each cylinder gets a corresponding sensor.
So könnte es gehen. Sind ja nur noch 11 Stück zu machen…..

Ich sage euch…..die Zahnwelle sitzt auf einem Kegelpresssitz mit Passfeder. Das macht man normalerweise um eine spielfreie, aber doch zu demontierende Verbindung zu schaffen. Die Anlassfarben und Macken sprechen eine andere Sprache. Selbst ein 10 Tonnen Abzieher (in Worten: Zehn Tonnen) und ein Erwärmen des Teils haben die Verbindung nicht auseinander gebracht. Erst bei leichter Rotglut und Hammerschlägen voller Zorn ging es dann…..

I tell you ….. the splined shaft sits on a tapered press fit with key. This is usually done in order to create a connection that is free of play but can be dismantled. The event colors and quirks speak a different language. Even a 10 ton puller (in words: ten tons) and heating the part did not separate the connection. Only when there was a slight red heat and hammer blows full of anger …
But for what the whole ????
Richtig! Auf die Welle soll das Triggerrad! Bleibt zu hoffen das der andere Anlasser leichter zu demontieren ist 😉

Right! The trigger wheel should be on the shaft! Hopefully the other starter is easier to dismantle 😉

Naaaa? Wem ist es aufgefallen? Richtig, ein Zahnrad fehlt. Das für den Rückwärtsgang. Das war den rauchenden Teufeln letzte Saison kaputt gegangen. Ein Ersatzrad soll aber im Lager zu finden sein…schauen wir mal ob wir dafür noch Zeit finden 😉
PS: Ist das eigentlich eine normale Maschinenbauerkrankheit das man das Grinsen anfängt wenn man Zahnräder sieht?
