Moin Freunde des Pullingsports! Es mag so aussehen als würde bei uns schon vorweihnachtliche Ruhe einkehren. Dem ist natürlich nicht so.
Also fangen wir an. Zunächst einmal meine „total geniale Hyperidee“ mit dem Bolzenschneider. Den wollten wir verwenden um die Bolzen aus den Pleuellagerschalen auszutreiben…

So let’s start. First of all, my „totally ingenious hyper idea“ with the bolt cutter. We wanted to use it to drive the bolts out of the connecting rod bearing shells …
Das hat natürlich total geil geklappt. *kotz* Was ein Aufwand mit Werkzeugstahl, professioneller Wärmebehandlung und dann nur einmal ansetzen und schon ist er kaputt. Ich hab mich richtig gefreut. Aber haken wir das ab. Immerhin haben wir jetzt einen zusätzlichen Bolzenschneider im Fundus.
Of course, it worked really well. *puking* What an effort with tool steel, professional heat treatment and then only start once and it is broken. I was really happy, that´s for sure. But let’s tick that off. After all, we now have an additional bolt cutter in stock.
Da sich Serge Jakoby vom Roude Léiw-Pulling Team entschlossen hat auf einen anderen Typ Differentiale zu wechseln, waren wir so nett und haben im das „nutzlose“ Zeugs abgekauft 😉 Selbst mit unserem Talent Dinge zu zerstören sollten wir damit eine Weile auskommen….
Nun aber zur Hauptgeschichte und dem Grund warum hier aktuell recht wenig passiert.
Since Serge Jakoby from the Roude Léiw-Pulling Team decided to switch to a different type of differential, we were so nice and bought the „useless“ stuff 😉 Even with our talent to destroy things, we should be able to get by with it for a while…
But now to the main story and the reason why very little is happening here at the moment.

Weit über ein Jahr ist es nun her das wir mit den Verdichterdeckeln für Thomy Mathmann angefangen haben. So sind bisher nur Prototypen entstanden und es gilt den Prozess noch ein wenig zu verbessern.
It is now well over a year since we started with the compressor covers for Thomy Mathmann. So far, only prototypes have been created and the process still needs to be improved a little.
Unter anderem hatten wir noch ziemliche Gussfehler durch eine Materialanhäufung die wir nicht nachspeisen konnten. Jetzt basteln wir uns in die Kerne selber isolierte Speiser rein. Hier bleibt das Alu besonders lange flüssig und kann den erstarrenden Verdichterdeckel lange mit flüssigem Alu versorgen.
Among other things, we still had quite a few casting defects due to an accumulation of material that we could not replenish. Now we are tinkering ourselves with insulated feeders in the cores. Here the aluminum remains liquid for a particularly long time and can supply the solidifying compressor cover with liquid aluminum for a long time.
Das eigentliche Kernschießen funktioniert nach einigen Anpassungen auch immer besser. Wir nähern uns dem Stand das man von einer Art Produktion und nicht mehr von Gehampel sprechen kann. 😉
The actual core shooting works better and better after a few adjustments. We are approaching the state that one can speak of a kind of production and no longer of playing around. 😉
Zwar entsteht auch noch reichlich Bruch….aber aus jedem Fehler lernt man was neues.
There is still a lot of breakage … but you learn something new from every mistake.
So entstehen dann nach und nach sehr brauchbare Kerne. Hier sieht man auch schön den Isolierspeiser.
Den Kernbruch kann man auch noch verwenden….

Ich denke mit der Menge kann man mal einen Gussversuch starten. Das ganze soll später noch ausführlich in einem YouTube-Video besprochen werden…ihr dürft gespannt sein 😉 😉

Es wurde etwas Edelstahl geliefert….

Es entstehen neue Düsehalter. Ihr wisst schon die aus dem Video. Es hat sich nämlich herausgestellt, das das Methanol und das Alu sich überhaupt nicht vertragen. So werden zumindest die Oberteile aus beständigem Material neu gefertigt….
New fuel nozzle holders are created. You already know the ones from the video. It turned out that the methanol and the aluminum do not get along at all. So at least the tops are made from durable material …

Nach einem Besuch auf der CNC-Fräse sind sie dann auch schon einbaufertig.
Was haben wir noch? Naja, ein bisschen noch zum langsamen Ausklingen des Beitrags….

Hier zeigen sich dann wieder mal die Vorteile wenn man vorab mehr Arbeit in eine ordentliche Verkabelung steckt. An den wichtigen Stellen sitzen Stecker und alles ist beschriftet. Da hat man das Zeugs ruckizucki demontiert.

Die Demontage dümpelt aktuell ein wenig vor sich hin. Erstmal möchten wir die Turbodeckel fertig haben damit Thomy über die Feiertage ein wenig Basteln kann 😉 😉
