Twice sheet metal, electrics and a stand (english below)

Autumn is here, the pulling season has been over for some time *rofl*, just right to continue with the tractor. Let’s start with sheet metal …

Genauer: Mit dem Turboschutz. Alex hämmert, bohrt und…

More precisely: With the turbo protection. Alex hammers, drills and …

…fräst neue Teile.

…mills new parts.

Die vorgeschriebenen Laschen zur Auspuffbefestigung….

The prescribed straps for fastening the exhaust …

…die dann sogleich richtig angeschweißt werden.

Kommen wir zum Thema Elektrik…..

… which are then correctly welded on right away.

We come to the topic of electrics …..

Mittels sinnreicher Skizzen 😉 ….

With ingenious sketches 😉 ….

… building up the second page is much faster than the first page. Only has to be copied in mirror image 😉 😉

Did I ever mention that rivet nuts are a very cool invention? Not? Ok, then here are a few instructions on how to process these things without needing hyper-special rivet pliers:

Basically, all you need is a suitable screw, a piece of mild steel and the rivet nut.

Zusammen bauen, Loch Bohren, Senken (Also falls man eine Senknietmutter hat 😉 )

Build together, drill a hole, countersink (if you have a countersunk rivet nut 😉 )

The whole thing is then inserted and simply tightend.

Fertig. 😉 😉

Finished. It is only important that the thread and the screw head are properly oiled so that nothing seize up. It wasn’t that crazy, was it? 😉 😉

The rails are fitted with the same Wago clamps as on the other side, what a surprise …

EMV-Wahnsinn halt 😉

This switch box also has a connection from the cover to the ground. EMC madness 😉

Alles schon bekannt, nur spiegelverkehrt. Komplett neu und zu meiner positiven Überraschung….

Everything is already known, just mirrored. Completely new and to my positive surprise ….

… the EDL-1 logger now comes with a pre-assembled connector. Did other people beat everything up because they didn’t get the plug connected? 😉 😉

The lid has now also got a seal and locks.

Time to attach the bracket for the electric switch box ….

„Gott gebe, das es Klebe!“ 😉

Sorry, Joke dosn´t work in english language. It´s about my skills in welding 😉

Guck mal einer an. Macht sich doch ganz gut.

Look at one. It’s doing quite well.

Hmmmm…irgendwie ein bisschen eng….

Hmmmm … kind of tight …

The welding table has to serve as a straightening bench quickly.

Regendächer anschweißen…

Welding on rain canopies …

…und schon kann das große Verkabeln beginnen. Erst einmal die dicken Klamotten….

…and the big cabling can begin. First of all, the thick wires …

…dann der Ecumaster-Kram 😉

Damit wäre der Bereich „Elektrik“ auch durch. Weiter geht es mit Blechthema 2

…then the Ecumaster stuff  😉

That would also mean the „electrics“ area. It continues with sheet metal topic 2

Tadaaaaa!

Tadaaaaa! In the meantime the new tank panels in 2mm stainless steel have arrived.

The remains from the first attempt were quickly removed …

Another joke that might not work in english. Do you know „Werner„?

To anticipate it a little: The 2mm sheet warps significantly (!) Less than the 1mm sheet.

In this way something that looks like a tank is created quite quickly. Our solution for the baffle is easy to see. It rests on the turned parts, has 3mm of air around the wall and is intended to prevent the pumps from drawing air. One can be curious 😉

V-shaped tanks for a V-engine. A radial engine naturally needs a raidal-shaped tank … of course, so far.

Seht Ihr nennenswerten Verzug? Nicht? Ich auch nicht 😉 😉

Damit wäre das zweite Blechthema auch abgearbeitet. Kommen wir nun zum Ständer *hihi*

Do you see any distortion worth mentioning? Not? Neither do I 😉 😉

The second sheet metal topic would then also be dealt with. Now we come to the stand.

Unser Azubi Gian hatte schon ein wenig vorgearbeitet…

Our trainee Gian had already worked a little …

…jetzt wird alles auseinander gekloppt.

… now everything is knocked apart.

Auch die Fahrzinken müssen ab.

The tines also have to go.

Prothese anschweißen…

Welding on the prosthesis …

… to be able to work on the other side 😉

Damit ist hier erst mal genug getan….

That’s enough for now …

Rummsbumms!

In diesem Sinne: Bleibt gesund und bleibt dran!

A 15mm thick laser cut gets a few holes and this is the hard end of this article. No mind what this is all for! Boom!

With this in mind: Stay healthy and stay tuned!
