Before we go to Zwolle … quickly another article.
Beginnen wir mit dem Restmaterial von den Kerzenschächten.
Let’s start with the remaining material from the spark plug pipes.
Daraus werden noch prima Teile.
This turns into great parts.
Und zwar die Muttern für die Oberteile der Kerzenschächte.
Namely the nuts for the upper parts of the spark plug pipes.
Achja, eben diese Teile brauchen noch eine Kontur damit sie zwischen die Ventilfedern passen.
Oh yes, these parts still need a contour so that they fit between the valve springs.
Check…auch fertig!

Manchmal ärgere ich mich doch die Maschine ohne Revolver gekauft zu haben. Das längste am Programm sind immer die Werkzeugwechsel 😉
Sometimes I get annoyed with the machine without having bought a revolver. The longest on the program is always the tool change 😉
Aber auch das ist irgendwann geschafft. Sozusagen die Trichter für die Hochspannung.

Der kleine Schluckspecht muss noch für die anstehende Saison fertig gemacht werden. Genau genommen möchte ich mir die Steckachsen ansehen.

Keine größeren Späneansammlungen. Sehr schön.

Die Verzahnung der Steckachsen zeigt Verschleiß. Gut, das war bei „nur“ vergütetem 42CrMoV4 zu erwarten. Die Dinger werden jetzt nitriert, dann sollte Ruhe sein.
The teeth of the thru axles show wear. Well, that was to be expected with „only“ quensch and tempered 42CrMoV4. Things are going to be nitrided, then there should be rest.
Zurück zum großen Specht. Heute hat es mich gepackt…ich wollte einfach das fette Einspritzventil am Zylinderkopf sehen…sowas hat man halt schon mal.
Alex hat die Flansche in der Zwischenzeit perfekt verschweißt.
Back to the big Schluckspecht. Today it grabbed me … I just wanted to see the fat injection valve on the cylinder head … you have something like that.
Alex has welded the flanges perfectly in the meantime.
So ungefähr soll es dran….
Something like that …
Mal eben ein Loch in den Krümmer gefräst….
Just milled a hole in the manifold ….
…und schon sitzt das Ventil. Mal ein Wort zu meinen Schweißnähten. Sowas kommt einfach zustanden wenn jemand (in dem Fall ich) die Arbeit macht von jemandem (in dem Fall Alex) der das einfach besser kann 😉 😉
Zur Beendigung dieses Beitrags hab ich noch Post aus Amerika.
… and the valve is already seated. A word about my welds. This happens when someone (in the case me) does the work of someone (in the case Alex) who just does it better 😉 😉
