So, letzter Beitrag für dieses Jahrzehnt. Was der Beitragstitel soll? Erinnert Ihr euch noch an Füchtorf 2019? Wenn nicht…bitte lesen 😉 Erstmal zu was anderem:

Der neue Ventildeckel hat schon mal Platz genommen. Sieht gut aus!

Bevor der Kopf runter kommt noch schnell ein paar Markierungen machen wie die Steuerzeiten stehen. (Die NVA Dienstvorschrift zum Einstellen derselbigen ist im Zulauf 😉 )
Before the head comes down quickly make a few markings to save the timing. (The NVA instructions for setting the timing up are in the Pipeline 😉 )
Meine Fresse was sind das dicke Löcher!
Zum Glück lassen wir den Block trocken. In die Aluminiumkopfdichtung werden serienmäßig Gummiformteile eingesetzt die die Wasserkanäle zum Kopf hin abdichten. Das Zeugs quetscht überall raus…verbackt…einfach ätzend. 😉
Da der Kopf bereits auf Brennringe umgerüstet ist brauchen wir die Kopfdichtung (theoretisch) gar nicht mehr. Wir werden sie aber wohl drin lassen damit der Kopf Wärme an den Block abgeben kann. Schauen wir mal….
Holy crap, that are big holes!
Fortunately, we let the block dry. As standard, molded rubber parts are used in the aluminum head gasket to seal the water channels towards the head. The stuff squeezes out everywhere … baked … just caustic. 😉
Since the head is already converted to metal sealing rings we (theoretically) no longer need the head gasket. But we will probably leave them in so that the head can transfer heat to the block.
We’ll see….

Beim weiteren Anprobieren des Ventilteckels fehlten noch vier Löcher. Aber irgendwie kam uns die Sache direkt komisch vor….
When trying on the valve cover further, four holes were missing. But somehow it seemed to be strange to us …
Finde den Fehler……anziehen kann man die nicht…. shit…
Da wir aber keine kleinen Dummköpfe sind….

…fliegen die Stehbolzen kurzerhand raus….
… the stud bolts fly out without further ado ….
…und es kommen gute alte DIN912 Zylinderkopfschrauben mit Innensechskant zum Einsatz. Die in Edelstahl…..passt optisch. 😉
… and good old DIN912 (German industy norm) hexagon socket head screws are used. This ones in stainless steel ….. fits optically. 😉
Da ist er wieder, der Zündkerzenschachtprototyp. Und er passt immer noch nicht 😉
Selten ein Teil gehabt das so viele Änderungen nötig hatte.

Seldom had a part that needed so many changes.
Und wieder mal eine frästechnische Clownsnummer. So einen labbrigen Deckel kann man echt beschissen Spannen. Naja, mittels arithmetischer Vermittlungsverfahren *rofl*…..
And again a milling clown show. Such a flabby cover can be really crappy been fixed on the mill. Well, using arithmetic mediation *rofl*…..
… wurde dann die Position des Kerzenschachtes gefunden. Da ich mir bei der ganzen Sache nicht so wirklich sicher war….

…erstmal nur in 26mm Durchmesser. Was soll ich sagen? Es passt! Huiii!!

Nachdem das Loch entsprechend vergrößert wurde passt das Oberteil perfekt!
Eins ist sicher: Für die restlichen 11 Löcher mache ich den Zirkus auf der Fräse nicht mehr mit. Ich hab da so eine Idee…. 😉

Alles sehr beengt. Zu filigran wollte ich es aber auch nicht machen. Wehe da bricht mal ein Teil und saust dann im Ventiltrieb rum….Arrrgh…es entstehen Bilder im Kopf…..
